HEALTHCARE BUILDING IN DEVON

Following an urgent request after discovery of structural damage to ceiling joists on the 2nd floor of the building, MOD Environmental mobilised at short notice to attend site and complete remediation works.

The project involved decontaminating a loft space of asbestos cement debris and removal of lathe and plaster ceilings to enable the safe reinstatement and repair of ceiling and joists.

Due to the time sensitive nature and current use of the building, all work was completed over a weekend to minimise any disruption to the client, staff and patients.

As the property was located in a town centre it was not possible to site an asbestos waste skip. We utilised our waste carriers license and transported the waste in our specially adapted vehicles to a licensed asbestos waste transfer station.

All work was completed safely, to a high standard and within the short timescale requested by the client.
